Junkie Janey wakes up in a strange bed across the city
They say she’s so beautiful, but man, she don’t feel so pretty
“Did the sun come up, or was it just a dream?” she says as she rubs her eyes.
It’s those Northern Lights playing tricks on you, the night made a compromise.

And the Staten Girls are waiting for the train
To meet their Bronx boys out in the dirty rain

“Haven’t seen this weather in 30-odd years” says the man behind the scenes.
It don’t bode well for lovers, cause we all know down here what these clouds mean.
Better go on and get indoors, it’ll take days to get out the stink.
